Mia is a clinical social worker supervisor with extensive experience counseling and serving clients and families with diverse and special needs. Her background includes two decades of teaching neurodivergent, twice-exceptional and neurotypical students, where she led teams and represented her school for several years as the United Way liaison. Mia has also provided clinical care at Meridell Achievement Center in Liberty Hill, Texas for over a decade and at the former Seton Shoal Creek in Austin, Texas, teaming with other professionals providing evidence based interventions and care for all ages. Known for her spirited nature and genuine compassion, she is fueled by the joy of those around her.
Mia attended The University of Texas at Austin for her BS in Child Development and Family Relationships and Master’s degree in Social Work.
Beyond her professional world, Mia enjoys hand building pottery, decorating cookies, spending quiet time with her husband, doting on her three dogs, embracing nature and life as a proud mother of three amazing adult children, including her adult special needs son.
