Melanie Kaplan is an educator, literacy specialist, and educational leader with more than three decades of experience helping children, families, and educators thrive. She is passionate about bringing people together through meaningful experiences and thoughtful personal touches. Throughout her career, Melanie has served as a Reading Specialist, Special Education Teacher and Administrator, Educational Diagnostician, Early Learning Director, Interventionist, Dyslexia Teacher, and Education Consultant.

Her work has taken her from classrooms and child care centers to school leadership and university settings, always with the same mission: ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed. 

Her professional expertise includes the Science of Reading, structured literacy, special education, dyslexia intervention, educational assessment, early childhood education, staff development, and program leadership. She has led multidisciplinary teams, supervised educators and administrators, managed large early learning programs, and partnered with families to create supportive learning environments that help children reach their fullest potential.

Beyond her professional roles, Melanie is passionate about lifelong learning, creativity, and building meaningful connections. She believes that successful education begins with compassion, collaboration, and a deep understanding of each child's unique strengths. Whether she is supporting emerging readers, mentoring educators, developing programs, or creating memorable experiences for families and communities, Melanie brings expertise, warmth, and purpose to everything she does.
