Day Program Admissions & Eligibility Criteria

To maintain a safe, structured, and productive vocational environment, all participants must independently meet the following baseline operational and behavioral criteria.

 

  • Documented diagnosis of an intellectual and/or developmental disability (I/DD), Autism, or a similar neurodevelopmental condition.

  • Independence in toileting, hygiene, and overall self-care with minimal or no assistance

  • Must be able to eat independently with minimal to no assistance. Participants are responsible for bringing their own daily lunches and snacks.

  • Program staff cannot provide continuous one-on-one assistance. If a participant requires an aide to function in a group setting, that support must be funded and arranged externally.

  • Be able to safely and independently navigate the campus with staff without any concern of elopement (running away).

  • Possess basic communication and safety skills required for functioning in settings. (use of adaptive device or other type of communication is acceptable)

  • Able to express emotional needs in order to gain support

  • No physical aggressive behavior is strictly required. Participants must not pose a safety risk or physical danger to themselves, other participants or staff.

  • Exhibit behaviors that align with our core values.

  • Our day program operates strictly on a Monday through Thursday schedule. Full-time commitment across all four days is required; we cannot offer partial-week as the inconsistency disrupts the purpose of our program

  • Daily programming begins at 9:00 AM. Constant routine is critical for group stability.

  • Late drop-offs are capped at a maximum of 30 minutes (no later than 9:30 AM) for occasional “one offs”. Modified start times cannot be accommodated on a routine or ongoing basis.

  • Participants must independently and willingly exit their vehicles and transition into the building at drop-off. Parents or guardians are asked to walk their adult child into the building and to do the same at pick up. Staff are not permitted to physically walk, pull or force an individual from or into a vehicle. If a participant refuses to enter the facility within 30 minutes of arrival, they cannot be admitted for the day and must return home with their caregiver.

  • Transportation to and from the facility is the sole responsibility of each family; the program does not provide transit services.
